Entertainment Weekly, Spike Video Game Awards Team Up to Choose Video Game of the Decade

Entertainment Weekly is teaming up with the Spike Video Game Awards to choose the best video game of the decade.

Why they chose not to do this in 2010 is unclear (since the decade they're rewarding is 2000 - 2009), but they're attributing it to the fact it's the VGA's 10th Anniversary and they wanted to do something a little special this year to celebrate the games that pushed the medium forward in the last decade.

The choices are below.  Do you think some of these games deserve to be there at all?  Which games are missing from the selection?

  • The Legend of Zelda:  The Wind Waker
  • Half-Life 2
  • World of Warcraft
  • Shadow of the Colossus
  • Wii Sports
  • Bioshock
  • Portal
  • Mass Effect 2
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Batman: Arkham City
