Awesome Moments in Gaming: 2004 Nintendo Press Conference Surprise

The 2004 Nintendo Press Conference left gamers with a variety of different great moments, such as the first introduction to Reggie Fils-Aime and the introduction to Nintendo DS, but there was something bigger in store...
After all that was said and done, and the conference seemingly coming to a close, Reggie says that he wants us to step into one more world for Nintendo Gamecube. Suddenly, an orchestrated score overcomes the room as a figure riding a horse appears in the initially unknown trailer. You can hear someone shout in enthusiasm, recognizing this figure -- then more...
... and as soon as Link and Epona appear in close-up, the room explodes in applause. This is the game that everyone wanted. A realistic Zelda game. Here. Now. The cel-shaded journey of Link's ocean adventure totally becomes a distant memory as Link is seen in an more realistic environment, reminiscent of the commonly lauded The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. No official title was given, but this was the game later to be known as The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
The excitement fails to subside as the trailer ends, as Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto appears on stage with his own Hylian Shield and Master Sword.
There may never be such excitement for a Zelda game like this at a Nintendo Press Conference ever again. Awesome moment.
